How to be a good parent?

After watching the clip, do you agree that Asians make better parents??

My friends who are westerners often said, “Asian kids excel in school because they have a more straight upbringing and therefore they are more studious then ours.”  I agreed but up to a point.

  2. This is outrageous(funny)! I remember my mother going Why?! Why?! and that wasn't funny. Got twisted and bent big way. One small thing, 'agreed' should be 'agree'.

  4. Hahaha this is so funny. The guys tried to make it humiliating but I know how serious it is in real asian families. I enjoyed watching this video (because I had a good laugh) but maybe add in a little more serious one as well to show how serious it actually is? You chose a good topic to write about. Good luck. :)

  6. so this seems like this is not a serious videos of what asian parents are like? but i guess in some ways all parents, asian or not are like this. it may do good for ones education, or may damage one's self confidence in their schooling. in answer with your question of how to be a good parent? their is no answer! lol. i guess therer are many theories of a systemitical way of "being a good parent" but at the end of the day, it is you own actions which reflect in a childs upbringing.

  7. It is true some Asian parents are expecting their kids to get a HIGH marks from school. Of course, it is because the parents wish their kids to live a better life in future. However many kids get huge amount of pressure to achieve the marks that the parents asked for. And once they failed to do that, the kids will lose their confidence and turn to pessimistic. I think one of good way to be a good parents is just check their kids are happy of what they are doing rather checking their kids school marks.
